Help, we need wedding suggestions!

All right. I am appealing to the my online friends list, for Aaron and I have run into a spot of "Iunno" in the wedding plans. Namely, we're entirely unsure of what sort of music to have at the actual wedding itself.

Right now, we've settled on "Pachelbel's Canon in D" for the wedding 'march' piece, and possibly "I Will Be Here" by Steven Curtis Chapman as a solo. However, I think we need two more songs that are instrument-only, and possibly one more to be sung as a solo/duet/whatever.

I'm opening the floor to suggestions. If you can provide a sample of the music (youtube video, clip somewhere on the web, whatever), Aaron and I would be forever grateful. We just have no clue on what other songs are good for this type of thing; we're both kinda clueless. ^^;;;

Well, if you have Pacabel, why not go with the rock version? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2GLoYg-4xrc

Thought its not really wedding-y, Bolero could be workable perhaps: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gdL2pQiDdvY&feature=related

For something with someone singing, how about At my Most Beautiful by REM? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NVhm0ePCjis

The only reason I wouldn't go with the rock version of Pachelbel is because I'm planning on asking a violinist I know to play it, instead of having a recording. Besides, while the rock version is nice, it's not quite what we're looking for in wedding music. ^^;;;; But I'll look into the others! Thanks!

If you're not taking the Pachelbel Rock, then I'm claiming it in the event I ever get married.

My husband and I wanted to keep our wedding pretty relaxed and with as much of both of our personalities in it as we could. If either one of you have a favorite play or movie, check the soundtrack for something that could work, be it instrumental or vocal. We had a violin and piano duet of All I Ask of You from Phantom of the Opera. My husband was in marching band forever and would have hired a brass quartet if we could have found one, so we settled for walking out to the Trumpet Voluntary. Friends from school just got married a couple of weeks ago and walked out to the Stargate SG-1 theme. We entered our reception to the Imperial March.

As far as what works and what doesn't, it's up to you two. Just remember that every extra song you add will keep you that much longer from getting to the I do's and the kissing and the whole married thing. XD

I don't have any samples but I've attended a wedding or two with beautiful Irish ballads played (instrumental and not). I think you would like something like that and I'll try to find some of it.
